Communication Devices Inc. (CD)I has recently announced that both the PA100 Federal and the PA200 Commercial products are now available for purchase with cellular wireless capability.

Both product sets will continue to be managed by the OBM Enterprise Software suite which will accommodate both cellular wireless and wire-line products seamlessly.

CDI has developed the wireless products at the request of several Government and commercial clients seeking an alternative connection methodology.  The cellular products will function with the same security posture as the “traditional” appliances; however they will utilize a 3G module as opposed to a POTS or network connections.  Full FIPS 140-3 encryption or RSA two-factor authentication are available on both cellular wireless product lines.

CDI Out-of-Band Management devices are typically used in configuration or as a method-of-last resort. Based on the infrequent nature of OOBM, CDI products lend themselves perfectly to cellular wireless adoption.  Usage with the Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint, can be, “pooled” to create very cost effective network pricing models.

The cellular CDI devices, like the traditional “PA100 & PA200” appliances, are purposely built for secure Out-of-Band management, making CDI’s suite unique product in the rapidly growing M2M marketplace.

Because of high demand for the new products, CDI encourages perspective clients to contact info@commdevices.com with all inquiries. Development will reply to all requests for product information and testing equipment.
