The VoIP Analog Server (VMS) by Communication Devices, Inc. is a VoIP-based solution designed to replace costly analog PSTN and T1 lines for outbound dialing, serving as a modern alternative to end-of-life Cisco RAS hardware. Built on telco-grade architecture with distributed processing, the system uses software-based modems rather than hardware that can become obsolete, supporting various modem protocols from V.21/Bell 103 at 300 bps up to V.90 at 56000 bps, along with error correction and compression protocols. Available as either an on-premises or SaaS/cloud offering, the VMS can scale from one channel to hundreds of soft modems and operates over SIP circuits using G.711 codecs, with major global telecom providers having successfully transitioned from legacy analog-based RAS solutions to this platform for both commercial and federal government applications.
