CDI recently announced the release of OBM version 6.04.00. The modified OBM management product is designed to help businesses efficiently organize and run Out-of-Band Management on a scalable platform. OBM enhancements include simplification of the client/remote site communications, cellular enhancements, and a streamlined path to adding new devices to existing implementations.
OBM is designed to be one of the most flexible Out-of-Band Management platforms in the market, accommodating deployments from a few to several thousand. In addition, OBM can help an organization bridge the gap between POTS-based architecture and cellular wireless equipment; OBM will seamlessly operate Network, POTS, and Cellular Wireless OOB equipment from a single operations screen.
The OBM software provides full end-to-end encryption without relying on any security features of the POTS or Cellular wireless network.
Security is embedded into the CDI units, offering PCI-complaint and FIPS 140-2 validated encryption without the requirement of network-based resources (RADIUS, ACE, and TACACS). In addition OBM grants the user roll-based access for shared use management, and records the keystroke data of all system users.
CDI has developed an OBM/cellular wireless (M2M) “starter kit” for both commercial and Federal users, to facility an easy transition to the updated OBM and newer equipment. The starter package includes the necessary software and hardware to upgraded the environment and allow for future expansion into wireless.
The starter kit is very competitively priced; more information can be attained from: firstname.lastname@example.org
