Warranty Repair Policy

The following information offers the particulars concerning CDI’s policy and procedures when pertaining to our 1-year warranty, extended maintenance contracts, tech support, re-stocking, shipping and handling fees as well as primary contacts and their numbers in case any questions should arise.

Note: Products returned to CDI for any reason MUST have an RMA#. Please contact technical support at (800) 359-8561 to obtain the necessary RMA#’s prior to return of any products, except for our PCM-US-2. Item will not be accepted for return after sale.

Payment Terms: NET 30

F.O.B Terms: 2 options – please advise which you prefer
F.O.B. Clifton, NJ – we pre-pay and bill for shipping and handling charges
-or-
F.O.B Destination – you provide us with your preferred carrier and account # against which all orders are shipped; therefore, no shipping and handling charges are included on CDI invoices to you.

Warranty: All CDI products come with a one-year warranty, which includes free repair of any non-working product along with on-line and toll-free technical support.

After the warranty period expires, if it is determined by CDI technicians that the unit needs to be returned for troubleshooting, testing and/or repairs, the customer will be assigned an RMA#(Return Merchandise Authorization) against which the unit has been authorized for return (at customers expense). Note: For any unit coming back for repair and it is found that the unit was opened and handled with prior to us receiving it will automatically null and void their warranty terms. Repair charges will apply.
 
Maintenance Agreements: (P/N: MNT-AGR) In addition to the 1-year warranty, CDI offers extended warranty in three separate contracts. They may be purchased for all of our products in one (15%), three (42%) and five (66%) year increments, which will be calculated at the end of the total purchase price of the equipment ordered. Our extended warranty offers: Advance replacement of non-working devices via UPS “Next Day Air”. Pre-paid return service of non-working unit and free software/firmware upgrades along with on-line and toll-free technical support.

It is recommended the Maintenance Agreement be purchased at the same time as the product so the agreement runs concurrent with the one-year warranty. Scheduled rollouts will have a single anniversary date agreed by both parties. Note: Maintenance must be paid within 30 days of invoice.

If maintenance agreements are not purchased at the time of equipment order, the following applies:

Upgrades: Firmware/software upgrades maybe purchased at $25.00 each if the HEX file is delivered via email or through our FTP server. The cost for units returned to us to install the upgrade is $75.00 each.

Repair & Returns: Repair costs for each device is as follows:
$200.00 (UG), $300.00 (PA-44) and $400.00(PA-88). Our turn around time may take up to 10 business days depending on the problem. A purchase order for the repair is required prior to us shipping. Shipping and handling fees will be added to the total, unless, customer requests to have it shipped through their preferred carrier.

Note: Any of our products leaving our facility must be invoiced. Non-working devices need to be returned within 10 days of receipt of advance replacement to receive full credit or invoice will be mailed.

Re-stocking: Any merchandise returned within 30 days of invoice are subject to a 15% re-stock fee, except for our PCM-US-2 will not be accepted for return after sale.
Shipping and handling fees originally incurred will be added to total. Items cannot be returned for credit or refund after 30 days. After the 30 days, items are considered a sale.

Shipping & Handling: F.O.B – Origin, Clifton, NJ via UPS 2nd Day service, unless otherwise specified. Our handling fees are subject to $10.00 on domestic and $25.00 on international shipments. Drop shipments to any international country are subject to a $50.00 administration fee. All international purchases shipping directly to their country destination, requires payment in advance. CDI’s banking information will be provided to you along with invoice for payment. End-user is responsible for all duties and taxes when equipment reaches its country destination. Quotes do not include shipping or handling fees. Only if requested, we could provide you with an estimated cost. In order to do so, you must provide us with city, state and zip code of shipping destination. Example of calculated shipping cost within a Continental U.S. “CONUS” location: shipping quantity 1 outside the 1 day delivery zone weighing less than 5lbs is $20.00 per unit using UPS-2nd Day service.
