CDI has taken the tact to reign in and harden all terminal access (SSH) on a network.
This system will allow the System administrator to “Own” all SSH CLI access on the network.
Providing a single source point on a network for all terminal access. We call this the “cockpit view”
What sets CDI apart from a standard RADIUS or TACACS+ server is that ANY client can authenticate to a RADIUS or TACACS+ server as long as the user has the correct credentials. They can use ANY SSH client
CDI will only allow CDI clients to authenticate to its server, therefore eliminating non-CDI terminals from accessing network elements and preventing rogue SSH clients from compromising the network.
Uses Role Based Security for granular security privileges
Has SSH terminal for connecting to any SSH enabled device.
Provides A single set of screens that allow ALL terminal access to take place from with the OBM system. We call this the “Cockpit” view
Take control of ALL Command Line Interface “CLI” terminal access
Strong authentication for SSH that prevents other SSH clients from accessing remote devices.
Keystroke logging of all data to a central security server That is out of reach of non authorized users
Forensic Data mining of the Keystroke Log information to confirm problematic configuration actions on the network
Prevents users from circumventing the security system by authenticating the client software as well.
Forces Network Engineers to use the prescribed SSH solution and not their own downloaded versions.
Powerful reporting and exporting or those reports to Excel etc…
A Platform that will be improved upon as we progress into the future.
