All products provide Secure Out of Band Management via:
- Internal Built in V.92 modem.
- Ethernet network port (standard on SAM-22 and SAM-44 not available on SAM-11)

- Secure DDM management (heartbeat)
- Telco Line Status (TLS) checks dial tone periodically & reports error
- Built in Secure database of ID’s and keys
- RSA certified Authentication via internal database or network ACE server
- Ability to control power via Power Control Module (PCM).
- International power and telco approved.
The CDI Authentication series is known as “SAM” Secure Authentication Modems Although the multi-port versions come standard with a network interface. The SAM series was created to satisfy the commercial network marketplace where encryption is not a requirement and therefore was a cost burden. CDI redesigned its encryption series to a powerful yet cost effective Authentication series which provides the most powerful Authentication available without reliance on the network for operation. This is what separates all CDI Secure Out of Band products from any other in the marketplace.
